Student Horror Film Festival

Quality Films, determination, honesty

Ignorance, laziness

It’s Official…the 4th Annual Emmaus Student Horror Film Festival will begin on October 10th at 6:00 pm at Emmaus Borough Hall. This is the kick-off meeting that you must be present at to receive the rules and regulations, required lines and sign-up for the contest. If you are unable to attend the kick-off meeting the rules and regulations will be posted on the website at 6:00 pm that evening, however you must email us to say that you are participating in the event. Your films must be returned to Emmaus Borough Hall on Monday between 6-7 pm.

This year we have extended the time limit on the contest to 96 hours. We have implemented this to allow students who may not have access to equipment at home to utilize school equipment if necessary. The kickoff meeting will run for about 1-2 hours that will include a brief seminar on film editing techniques followed by a questions and answer forum. If you have the stamina, work ethic and drive required to win this competition and want to represent your school then this is the contest for you. Not everyone who enters will be shown or qualify for the festival on November 1st at 4:00 pm at Eyer Middle School. We would like to thank Olympus for becoming a Major Sponsor of our event.

The winners of the 2007 festival are now posted on our website and also the films are uploaded to our YouTube http://youtube.com/profile?user=shubzdaj

Schools from the Lehigh Valley, PA area and beyond compete in this competition. Colleges such as East Stroudsburg and Temple have competed against Middle School students. This is an open event, if you have the will, fortitude and work ethic to compete then this is the competition for you.
