I like to write music, read, draw/sketch and spend time with my wife Laura, my one year old son Gavin and our two crazy mutts, Sweetpea and Ruby.

Indiana Jones Trilogy, Star Wars Saga, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter Series, Troy and pretty much any other movie that can hold my attention! :-)

Jonathon Cox is a 1997 graduate of Perry High School in Cridersville, Ohio. After high school, he attended Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio, and earned a Bachelors of Music Composition degree, with distinction. He then received a full teaching assistantship from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and finished with a Masters of Music Composition.

An active composer, Mr. Cox writes for all mediums, but has a fancy for film. He has written scores for several independent films, the most notable, however, are Death4Told starring Margot Kidder (Superman) and Tom Savini (Spy Kids) and Broken Oath, starring Owen Miller (Out of Time). The Ohio Northern University Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Dr. Edwin Williams premiered his composition The Hero Saga in 2004. His arrangement of Carol of the Bells was premiered by conductor Giovanni Silva and the Orquesta Municipal Cochabamba in Cochabamba, Bolivia in 2007.

Currently, Jonathon is employed as a lecturer of Music at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio and a lecturer of Electronic Music and Composition and Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio. He is a Doctoral Candidate at Ball State University in Munice, Indiana.
