Opiyo Okeyo is an Avid Technology, Inc featured student filmmaker and online contributor. He currently serves as an editor for Discovery Channel's On-Air marketing and is co-producing an independent music documentary titled Rest In Beats.

As a student under Howard University's John H. Johnson School of Communications and School of Business, Opiyo has honed his skills to produce or package projects for BET, TLC, Virgin Mobile, Mecca Clothing, Kevin Liles/Warner Music Group, WHUT-32, and Discovery Channel. Opiyo Okeyo is a native of Los Angeles, California.

hi opiyo recently i worked or learnt abit about the avid editting system and i loved it it's user friendly and high end and i believe there's much in avid as compared to fcp and other editing softwares, can you recommend a school or a place i can learn and improve my editing skills especially in avid. thanks and ggod afternoon to you

We shot it with just a DVX-100 and a small Kinoflo light series.
