Sabbatical
Posted On 10/11/2007 13:17:10 by markhuerkamp
Well, now that I have the understandin I was lookin for before I put down the camera and the NLE, now I go back to work.

What did I learn on sabbatical? The entire path that I walk is for the outdoors. Protecting it, enjoying it, using it; my entire career is heeding the call of the wild.

What happened? Understanding happened. Buddhist insight, a pure creation of somthing divine is the allure. I do not want to live for what mankind calls success. The more faith I put into this commitment, the greater the bounty gets. You see I can't commit myself to fiction filmmaking, advertising, or public relations; but when I am serving somthing I love, being nature, I am free to do all of this with zest. I just couldn't handle all the shallowness of graphic design. I don't want to be a coorporate stuff shirt that gets heart disease at 55 or 65 and is hasseled by all the noise. Maybe others can, but I don't find it alluring. A tent, now that sounds fun.
