I just got back from a week long of movie-making with this awesome program called Samsung Mobile Fresh Films. We made a movie with a black hawk helicopter. Everyone thought the helicopter was so awesome and it was, BUT I feel like we sacrificed quality in other parts of the movie because it was like we thought a helicopter would make up for anything we missed.
Anyway, the week was a great experience despite what I just said. It was me and ten other teens making a short film with the help of some interns. We did everything from casting call to editing. We're competing against 8 other cities who also made films.
There will be a 2 week of voting in August and the winning team of both weeks will go to the AFI film festival on Nov. 8 and their movie will be in it too. It's amazing so please watch our film and vote for the Portland team starting Aug 7th! Thanks!
