Hello!
I am writing to introduce you to PA Bootcamp. Founded in 2004, this unique company was formed with the sole purpose of training Set and Office Production Assistants to work in the Film, Television and Commercial industry. While we are based out of Los Angeles, and partnered with Quixote Studios we have brought our program to South Carolina, N. Carolina, Atlanta, Florida, Georgia, New York City, Harlem NY, Boston, Montana, and New Orleans.
Whether it’s on set or in the office, knowing how physical production works and how to work in it requires up to date and detailed training.
The Quixote Studios P.A. Bootcamp two-day intensive course covers in depth instruction on the following: All production paperwork (call sheets, production reports, one-line schedules, DOODs, time cards, and so on..); walkies/radios--every “camper” is placed on a walkie and taught proper usage, terminology and etiquette; professional set protocol; all set departments; and how the movie is made from prep to post.
With the training for office PA, we include; pulling sides, running distribution kit building, much more. Our “real-world” format uses, interaction, simulation, and lecture. A complete course description is available upon request.
Our instructors have over forty years of combined industry experience and have worked on productions ranging from reality TV to high budget feature films.
They are members of the IATSE, PGA, and DGA.
