I am a currently attending University of North Carolina School of the Arts, I have my Associate Degree in Fine arts. I'm well rounded in Cinematography,Directing, Editing, and getting better at Screenwriting. My favorite Directors are Alfred Hitchcock, Tyler perry, James Cameron, Peter Jackson, Quentin Tarantino, Terrence Malik, and Ernst Lubitsch. I like their work for different reasons. Basically film is what I always have on my mind. I love a good story no matter the outcome, and more importantly, I love being apart of the process.

So, I recently saw a info page that was pretty top notch and realized how lame mine was. This must be changed!

Right now in film school I am working on a short called "Hero". It's about a young man who comes home to see the man that molested him as a child in his house. In his blind anger he thinks of a way to end this problem...for good. ( I know seems melodramatic, but we're not going that route). It's a taboo subject for sure, but that is primarily WHY I wanted to do it. Child molestation is a shady subject, and for good reason. The issue is, it's something that real people go through and there is no manual on how to deal with this beast's lasting effect, even until adulthood.

Whew, enough of the heavy stuff. So, on a lighter note, when I started film school I noticed the necessity and pure enjoyment of networking. My short, "The Last Negotiation" was done on a film stage, with no budget. I met a guy on a film site who is a music composer, that lives in Chicago. We talked a lot about our families and film, and when I had the opportunity I slid in that he could compose my short. I sent it to Chicago after picture lock and told him my vision. When I got it back, we collaborated a bit further and I sent it back. He had one more go and the finished product was the icing on the cake. It is possible to work with people across states but communication is key!

I've heard many time that everything has already been done, but if that be true can we ever call anything "original" again? Should the word still exist? Call me crazy but I think some stories have yet to be told. I pull a lot of my inspiration from family, life in itself, and Philosophy.

Also, the study of the mind and universe is pretty intense! I love it because while thinking, my mind doesn't get bored. One of my favorite things to do is sit and think. Present to me any topic because I love exploring. This is why I love film! Unlike most professions you can mix and match everything under the sun. IT'S AWESOME!

I think my first dream was to become an Astronaut, then I found out I wasn't a genius in math. Another was a track star, I loved hurdles but my ankles couldn't handle the pressure of it. I love singing...but I had people who love me enough not to let me go on American Idol and get embarrassed, thanks mom...nah, but really, everything else I thought I wanted was in some way limited. But not film, so i'm in for the long run.

I have a great supportive family and a fabulous best friend, so much so that sometimes even when i'm down to my last dime, and my car breaks down, and I get overwhelmed with things I have to do, and i'm sitting in class sniffling and blowing my nose, or I just have one of those "I could'a slept through today and not missed a thing" kinda days, I still think that blessed is an understatement and doesn't merely scratch the surface of how grateful I am to have certain people in my life!

I'm not interested in day to day idol chatter, but tell me a dream and I will see how to get there. And sometimes that means not having a map. Sometimes, that means pulling out a compass and a machete and going for a long walk where no one I know has been. It sounds great to do that, but no one tells you about the snakes or the thorns because no one you know has been there! It takes guts, tenacity, strong will, patience, learning from failures, innovativeness, support, passion, discipline, and passion.

I love, love, love long walks with a great conversation. I love movers and shakers. I hate debt. I hate tolerated confusion.

I believe the world operates on a unfathomably dynamic and in someways fragile balance and to disrupt this balance can be detrimental, but to learn this balance is to bring life to life. I think this is the blanket layer of "About Me". Hope to hear from you soon!
