Birds Eye View Film Festival 2011: Filmmaking for Change

Event Details

  • Political filmmaking has snowballed in recent years with widening access to handycams and mobiles and breakaway documentaries like Supersize Me. Panelists Emily James (executive producer, The Age of Stupid; & director, The Luckiest Nut In The World), Deborah Burton (Tipping Point Film Fund), filmmaker Zoe Broughton and communications consultant Kathryn Corrick ask whether this really is a filmmaking revolution or just a source of cheap footage for news outlets. This session includes an exclusive preview of Emily James' new crowd-funded documentary about environmental direct action, Just Do It.
