(New York, NY) Down and Dirty DV announces the much-anticipated debut of its

latest instructional event, “INDIE FILM BOOT CAMP,” at Downtown

Community Television (DCTV) in New York City. Designed to fill the gaps left

by traditional classes and seminars, this one day meet-up has been designed

to provide film and media makers with the insider tips, tactics, and techniques

that will take any project from script to screen.

Featuring 6 seminars, 3 instructors, and 8+ hours of interactive content, INDIE

FILM BOOT CAMP is focused on answering the question “What Is Nobody Telling

You?”. The mission of the event is to equip attendees with nuts and bolts

details that each of the instructors has acquired over their 25+ combined years

in the film, TV, and marketing/advertising industries. The instructors include

Anthony Q. Artis ( author of the best-selling film book, “The Shut Up

and Shoot Documentary Guide” ), Pete Chatmon ( writer/producer/director

of “Premium” starring Zoe Saldana of “Avatar” ), and

Benjamin Ahr Harrison (director of numerous music videos broadcast on MTV, BET

and a variety of new media campaigns).

    INDIE FILM BOOTCAMP Seminars include:

    • Down and Dirty Filmmaking: Guerrilla Tactics – Professional Results

    • How to Make a $1 Million Video (…without $1 Million)

    • Documentary Interview Boot Camp

    • The Psychology and Technique of Directing

    • Raising Funds and Pitching…Effectively

    • Learn, Break In & Rise Up in the Biz

    • Networking After-Party to Follow (Venue TBA)

“With the IFBC we’ve put together a series of seminars that encompass

everything we wished someone had told us at the start of our own filmmaking

careers. So many books and classes cover the procedural and technical side of

filmmaking, but very few address the hundreds of practical, logistical and psychological

challenges that confront new filmmakers, such as maintaining crew morale, wooing

investors, handling celebrities and how to land that first entry-level job and

parlay it into a career break.”

INDIE FILM BOOTCAMP is extending an early bird registration fee of $99 until

March 1st. For more information and to register, please visit: http://indiefilmbootcamp.eventbrite.com/
