Your first time.
What was the first screenplay you ever wrote, and knowing what you know now how do you feel about it?

I don't remember. But that's probobly good. Because I think something really common in first screenplays (definetely my own first) is writing a movie based on other movies as opposed to writing a movie based on how you see the world (although one could argue all movies are based on each other...). I think screenwriting is a process that evolves (like anything) with time and practice.

yeh im only 16 but wen i wrote me first screenplay i definatly compared it alot with other professional ones which inevitably had a big influence on how i shaped mine. id like to think now that i was more adept at it.

I agree. First screenplays are like a curse. My friends and I all have copies of mine and we laugh like hell about it now. It's a little like sex. The first time it's awkward and you don't really know what you're doing. You understand the basics of it, but putting it into practice is different. When it's over you're disappointed.

Okay, so it's a lot like sex.

I remember it was... er... something based upon the short story "The Last Martian", I don't remember the author of that, I was just, like, 14. The first "original" one I remember quite clearly was called "Gone for Good" and, like it's title, it's gone for good, I don't know where to find that :P

my 1st - the lost house

well it was only 2 yrs ago at college i had to choose a storyboard or screenplay and i tried the storyboard but i cant even draw stick people im that bad

i remember handing it int hinking i'd done a bad job it was only a short film and i hadnt a clue what to name it and last minute came up with the lost house it was about some teenage girl who was kidnapped and the police gave up looking but her friends from high school went out and found her dead in this house that seemed to be abandonned and was hidden amongst trees and bushes it ended as they found her in a room dead and tied up and someone had entered the house

i did get just under full marks for it and was very shocked but since i have realised that i enjoyed doing this and kept at it
