This isn't MySpace, so I'm going to assume we're talking about turn-on's that deal with filmmaking.

There's nothing like good coverage. I think that in a lot of cases, it's the coverage that makes a scene. How is the environment reacting to the action, or lack thereof?

Camera shake for the sake of camera shake. Find the right support for your shot and go for it. Don't be afraid to slap that baby on a steadicam or lay down some track. Shake can be very powerful if it is appropriate for your shot, but half the time, it's there because it's cheaper.

I am a senior at New Mexico State University, getting ready to graduate with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communications and I'm on my way to University of Texas Graduate School where I'll get my masters in Film & Video Production. During my stay at NMSU, I DP'd two independent feature films and am in production on a documentary I am DPing and editing destined for PBS. I am also the director for a local live newscast. I am often hired to produce televsion commercials, corporate videos and, of course, the occassional wedding. I am in the early stages of planning a production company, and I hope to be releasing our projects in the near future. Feel free to get in touch with me for any reason, Thanks!

Hey Luke--

your stuff looks great. Do you have any documentaries that you would like to submit to Current TV--if we choose them they will be on air and you can get paid!

We accept short 5-9 min. pieces, would love to talk to you about your work sometime. E-mail me [my e-mail is on my profile]

Best,
Sarah
