Dancing, cooking, writing, theater-going.

Breakfast at Tiffany's, Bladerunner, The Old Man and the Sea, Kill Bill one and two, The African Queen, Lawrence of Arabia, 2001, A Space Odyssey, The Bridges of Madison County, Two Mules for Sister Sarah, True Grit. Tora, Tora, Tora, The Green Berets, Apocalypse Now, Last Tango In Paris.

Most things classic: jazz, rock, r&b, soul, folk, classical, some opera.
The Met's production of Tan Dun's "The First Emperor" with Placido Domingo, broadcast live in HD in a local Dallas theater blew me stone cold away.
Ravi Shankar and Nora Jones can both put me in a trance.
Kool and the Gang's "Summer Madness" is my all-time chill pill.

The Aquarian Conspiracy, A Book of Five Rings, Chaos, The Mayan Factor, The works of Keats, Shelly, Yeats, Shakespeare, Rumi, Thich Naht Hanh, Alan Watts, Philip Kaplaeu, Jung, Rilke, Anais Nin, Henry David Thoreau, Walt Whitman, Pablo Neruda, and Robert Burns.

Teaching, learning, being.
Slow food.
Long conversations.
Mountains.
Beaches.

Anything that keeps me from the above.

Originally from England, I'm a classically trained dancer and choreographer (ballet, modern), and a certified ballroom dance instructor (latin is my specialty). I gave it all up for a lucrative and long career in motion graphics, animation, and visual effects. I've done my share of directing and editing as well. I'm currently in teaching mode at the University of Texas, Arlington, and Texas A&M University, Commerce. While loving the teaching thing, I'm also actively freelancing for selected clients and doing plenty of community outreach (payback).

Very cool, I took a few years of ballet, never made it to point though.  We share similar taste in movies. I like the ones you mentioned except was not crazy about, "Bridges." But, I have found some of the actors I could not stand years ago, are now my favorites. I wonder if that would apply to friends or people I've dated in the past!? hah

I guess if you like slow food, you wouldn't enjoy pan seered tuna?
