Carmarthen Bay Film Festival is held in Llanelli,Carmarthenshire the home town of Wales’ very first Hollywood film star Gareth Hughes
The festival will hold it’s 4th festival once again at the 4 star Stradey Park Hotel Llanelli,Carmarthenshire. The 2015 festival will be it’s biggest yet
with submissions already flooding in from all 4 corners of the world! Which include Iran,Kazakhstan,Serbia,Hong Kong, Luxembourg,USA, Taiwan ,South American and many European Countries
The festival has also been honoured this year by being added to the approved festival list for BAFTA Cymru awards entry eligibly.Also the festival can boast of having 3 BAFTA management committee members on its advisory and judging panel
In April 2012 Carmarthen Bay Film Festival was founded by Kelvin Guy.
The festival was held for the first time in Llanelli,Carmarthenshire,the home town of Wales' very first Hollywood film Gareth Hughes. The festival is very much the champion of the independent film maker and cinema in the UK! Carmarthen Bay Film Festival was one of the first festivals to sign up to UFFO code of conduct of which Kelvin is the Wales committee chair.
Kelvin is also a member of BAFTA Cymru and regular judge for them.
The festival is now open for submissions for its festival in May 2015,the closing date is 31st of January 2015
The festival mission is to actively encourage and support independent film and cinema here in Wales the UK and Internationally.
The festival is and will always be, a champion of independent film!
