I am working on sunday. We had a page in the magazine layout this month that was open. I think we got it filled by Saul at the ASC. I just nailed a picture on the wall here of one of the tradeshows i went to not long ago so i can see all the inspired film and video makers signing up for the magazine.
You know, last time i was on a set was when i met with cinematographer Bill Clayer on Law and Order here in NYC at the Chelsea Piers Studios. It was awsome. I just love filmmaking even when it is video. lol. I have a great short idea i need to make happen. Hope everyone is well. let me hear from you.

I just got this from wikipedia.org site.
"The Writers Guild has indicated their industrial action would be a "marathon". AMPTP negotiator Nick Counter has indicated negotiations would not resume as long as strike action continues, stating, "We're not going to negotiate with a gun to our heads—that's just stupid.""
Does anyone have any thoughts on this. What would happen if they just keep striking for a year? I hope they don't but if nothing is going to move until they stop and they won't stop do you think other non union writers might start filling spots here and there??
What do you think about the statements below? Do you know someone that is being affected?
"Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers were called by a federal mediator. The producers said a deal couldn't be reached.
The writers want more money from the sale of DVDs and a share of revenue generated by the sale of TV shows and films over the Internet. The studios say the demands are unreasonable and will hamper attempts to experiment with new media."
has anyone triedthe live chat program?

I was watching the new Star Trek Next Generation and Voyager Episodes last night that were in the Borg DVD collection I got Friday.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092455/
It reminded me of the old days watching Start Trek with my Dad. I remember when I first saw the new Star Trek Next Gneration show I was not happy at all with the ship. It looks more like something that is earth bound and flies in an atmosphere with a gravitational pull and when it stretched out like a rubber band to travel at Warp speed it just ruined it for me. I didn’t like that at all. I wanted it to take off like the old Star Trek ship and not a rubber band. I know there is some kind of light speed bending of space and all but for me it was not right. That little thing really turned me off. Also, the "number one" Jonathan Frakes ... Commander William T. Riker was not posturing right for me. I think they needed to have someone that was more a mental giant or something along those lines. In my mind spock had some kind of major advantage to humans and contributed to the Captain beyond human ability. So the “Number One” should have had some awesome power or ability the captain would tap into…. It would have been better if Data or Warf were “Number One” second in command. There were many other problems for me with the stories but I still watched. I think i watched because of the interest and entertainment i felt when watching the first Star Trek series.
