MY RATING: 0.00

I try to watch at least one movie per day. Read two scripts per week. Write three to five hours each morning starting at 3 A.M. Early to bed and early to rise. Shooting projects on the weekends and editing Monday through Thursday in the evenings. Film is my addiction. No budget is my curse.

I follow all genres. Favorite films would be obvious and far to numerous to list. This week alone (September 21st thru 27th) I viewed and plan to view:
Rambo (on DVD - grade C)
The Martian Child (on DVD - grade B)
Hitman (on DVD - grade C)
Planning to watch:
Son of Rambow (on DVD) The Black House (on DVD)
Counterfeiters (on DVD) Doomsday (on DVD)
Looking forward to All My Stuff -- George Carlin's HBO DVDs and Bill Maher's Religulous (at Theaters)

Everything but Country, Opera and Religious.
Currently I am in a Sheryl Crow (Detours), Alanis Morissette (Flavors of Entanglement) all of Joan Osborne's and Pearl Jam's CDs. Last week it was all of the CD's by The Grateful Dead, Little Feat, Cowboy Junkies and The Golden Palominos. Next week it could be all of the CDs by The Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, Fleetwood Mac and/or whatever grabs my ears. I love my music from early, early morning when I write (scripts) till I turn on Air America or 1480 KPHX on the Internet while I edit.

I read 2 scripts weekly and anything that I can digest about better story telling for film-making. Just read Lewis Black "Me of Little Faith", Rick Shenkman "Just How Stupid Are We?" and David Sirota "The Uprising" (Setember 17th thru 23rd).

I enjoy all aspects of film-making (even trying acting once in a while) from script to scream. Nothing pleases me more then starting a project, the process and when the film is finished and being watched. www.hauntedmovie.com

I am a very serious about fresh and quality storytelling from script to screen. I do not do X-rated material. Visit www.hauntedmovie.com for more on what I do. I also have sites like www.baseballbasicsdvd.com that promote instructional tools for youth. I am not into hype. I really have a blast in front and behind the camera and editing.
I love learning, doing and working with others. I do not like to quit a project once it is started. I feel obligated to those creative people around me to finish. I am always seeking others with the same film making desires. I am happily married and not looking for anything other then to create new and original film projects.

Just visited your web site. See that you do wedding videos. I did that for about ten years -- helped me pay for all my high end equipment. Was an active member of WEVA. Really got bored with doing weddings -- started making horror films. Far more exciting and challenging.

See you like dogs -- we have a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Our second. What a handful. Love large dogs. Had Shephards and Labs -- shedding was just too much. Do agility and obediance training (yes with Ridgebacks). And coursing.

Won some awards for music videos. I still enjoy creating them as well. But the originality of making horror still holds my number 1 interest. Where do you live? My wife, son and I live in the central Ohio area but we travel all over -- I shoot archive footage (while shooting high-end home movies). Never know when you need footage of mountains, sharks, everglades or huge caves... Keep everything on DVcam ProCameras. Let me know what(s) happening in your neighborhood. Always looking to network (and find new faces in front of the camera for horror projects and those creepy locations that sometimes crop up and are available for free to utilize).

Don Patterson

Hi Don, nice to meet you! I live in Canton, Football HOF territory if you're in to that sort of thing. I used to have an afghan and I took her coursing a few times, it was fun....but she died, no more dogs now.....just a few cats and a talking parrot!

I have a friend who lives in Columbus, and he makes horror films too. I have scored music for a few of his projects. his name is Sheldon Gleisser, do you know him?

I really don't want to shoot weddings, but I thought a few now and then, will generate funds for more equipment....ahhh more gear! hahaha

I done a few genealogy DVD projects, politcal stuff, and now I'm working on a documentery. Want to try a few music videos this summer as well. Other than that, I take my camera and shoot stock footage and sell it online.

I use to do theater, (was a mime too) and performed in local bars playing the piano and singing, but now I prefer to be behind the camera and do editing. Actually I like to be apart of the whole project, from planning to finish. Won a couple songwriting awards, tinker on website design etc.....take classes online.

I am married and ride a BMW motorcycle in my spare time. I like meeting and working with other people on different kinds of projects. Maybe we can work together sometime.

My friend and I went to a haunted cemetary to shoot ghosts last summer (her camera has 0Lux) but nothing happened, but we had fun anyhow! Booooooooo

Well let me know if you and your family are coming up this way, I can show you a few good spots to shoot footage. Feel free to call me at the studio 330-497-4450.
