Posted On 06/05/2008 11:35:05

Hey Gang,

I just wanted to say thanks to our talent, our crew, and family for there support in making this film for the race. We had a great time making the film, and look forward to next year when we will have to defend 1st place. It could not have been done without the Video Association of Dallas; putting this event together and all there hard work in making this such a wonderful event. Thanks Bart, Laura, and new comer David along with the volunteers.
We will soon have the short up and running on our website. www.palatiampg.com

Hey Gang,
Just wanted to drop a line and see if anyone else in the community here was planning on joining the 24 Hour Film Race here in Dallas. This will be our second year to compete in the race. We had a great time a couple of years ago, missed last year due to filming schedule, but are back this year. If you are out there look us up and say HI.
Good luck to you if you are racing, there are some good teams out there!

Okay, I am sorry that it has been so long since I have been here, but the last year has been really busy. Still no reason that I couldn"t have visited and wrote a little note. This should bring my friends here up to speed and I would love to here from you guys as well. Looks like there are a lot more friends here to meet, look forward to meeting some new people.

We finished our newest project called "Button Pusher" and this will be part of the DFW Gong Show. "Unglued" has now won two awards from two different film festivals, one for best edited short film and the other for best short film drama. We are very happy about this and look forward to only the best for this short film. We are gearing up for the 24 Hour Race in Dallas next month, we missed last years race and are really looking forward to this years.

Right in the middle

I am really looking forward to the finished product that we have been working on since last year, which is a short film. We are still working on the edit of the film, picking up Foley for a few of the scenes, and some CGI effects post. Do many of you start to get jumpy to start your next project? I am all about being in the field, not so much on the post-production side of things. How do you get through this part of your production?

Make it Rain
Posted On 06/09/2007 10:36:23
Hi gang,
I told you I was going to share a new piece of hardware that we built for our shoot at the cabin a few weeks ago. I now have a picture in my gallery of the rain maker along with some other pictures of that weekend long shoot. We needed it to rain on cue so I was asked to build something that might do this for us. I mainly record location sound but I also build props and items that make some shoots interesting or believeable.
If you would like plans to build your own rain maker let me know, it worked very well even with low water pressure.
Thanks for looking, Keith

Cabin shoot over!
Posted On 05/21/2007 14:05:19
WOW...that is about the only way I can describe the way I feel right now. The film crew and I had a great time this past weekend; we are all very tired today, but satisfied with the work that we were able to complete. We had great weather, the location was more than I could have ever imagined, and our actors brought their "A" game with them. The location was a cabin that was built in 1904 in East Texas right in the heart of tall pine trees and beautiful hardwoods, remember I like to woodwork on the side. Our host was a wonderful older gentleman with some great stories of the location we shoot at and life experiences. All in all I think the only thing that would have made this better would be having the time to shoot one or two more days. I built a prop that when the time comes I will share with you how I made it and some footage of the effects it had on our film, I can't wait to share. Look for some new pictures in a few days, I am still emptying the truck of gear and haven't had the opportunity to even look at them as of yet.
Thanks for Looking, and like I always say;

Working miles away from home

Okay, we have been working on a short film for about 6 months, I know that is a long time for a short but we have a location out in the middle of no where and we needed the season to be right for the story to work. We've never been so far away from civilization on a shoot like this before and to tell you the truth, this is going to be a long weekend. Not only do we have to bring all our gear, 2 prop cars, all the actors and there stuff, But we have to think about food, along with cleaning supplies. Good thing we have a great crew, and craft services. This is something I hope we pull off without any snags. Tell me about your experience if you have done this before!
PS. We get to work with live spiders for the first time as well!!
