First day filming "Nels"

    As part of my humanities capstone course, I'm working on a longer short film (probably about 20-30 minutes) titled, "Nels".

    It's about an orphan living at a children's home who feels alone, dejected, and mistrustful of others. He likes to run and often leaves the home for hours to go up on a mountain ledge by himself. One day, a college volunteer arrives at the home who Nels finds out was the captain of his college track team. Through a shocking discovery, Nels learns the tragic story of the volunteer's own past and how he came to the point he is now. Nels then asks the volunteer to train him to run, which he agrees to. With his friendship and mentorship, Nels life begins to turn towards a whole new chapter.

    This past Saturday was the first day of filming for the movie with the actor for Nels and I uploaded some photos from the shoot to my profile.
