Hey,
So, my first blog. What better way to start this off than to announce a new project I'm about to start on!
This film that I'm going to be scoring (or MIGHT be, gotta see the sample clip from the director first. but I doubt I'm going to turn it down) looks like a lot of fun. It's directed and produced by a family group. They pretty much just do fan-films. And most of them are young kids, so for the quality that they're producing, I was pretty impressed!
Anyway, this flick's a second in a series they've been doing, based on "Indy John" (fan films of Indiana Jones, of course), and the main guy is played by this little kid.
Is it professional quality? No. Do I stand to make a lot of money? Nada. But it's still a cool thing to work on, and these kids really put alot of effort into it, to produce a decent quality short. So, I'm all about it!
It's a good project to (hopefully) complete. Probably not more than 7-10 mins long, and it won't be 100% music. So, this has good experience written all over it. And great for the ol' portfolio too.
so far, I've had limited, unfinished experience with film-scoring, given that I was in the project long enough to write either an intro or a demo piece, before the project fell through on the part of the director.
