Island Gems in production

  • Hi once again,

Just a quick note, I want to welcome Gerda and Colleen to the team.  Gerda has been working with me in post for about a year now and she is a pleasure to work with.  Colleen is heading up our marketing derpartment, I'm very excited to see what she will pull out of her hat.  Welcome to you both.

Here we are in August and we have finished our first Island Gems video project.  entitled "Hamilton Marsh."  15 min running time.  Our video project sought to explore the marsh's vital importance to the water supply and its many species of wildlife, both on land and in the water.  Currently Hamilton Marsh is being logged by Island Timberlands and the land will be sold to developers.

Hamilton Marsh was screened in Qualicum Beach, B.C. Canada.  The Hamilton  Marsh preservation society was instrumental in supporting the outing last month.  And will use the video as a educational tool to help support their efforts.  A non-educational music and video only version will be available this coming fall.

We are almost finished the principal photography of our new series called "Breakthrough Healing Arts."  Our hostess Delaine Walsh has been wonderful and patient working with us to create the half hour 13 episode series.  Delaine Walsh shares her 30+ years of natural healing arts with us by exploring the tools and techniques used by natural practitioners.  Some modalities include, colour therapy, water structuring and sound therapy.

Well it's time to get back to it.  Colleen and I are having a marketing meeting to discuss our plan for our mental health educational film series.  Man things are getting busy around here.

    Bye for now.
