  I am currently studying for my HND in Television at JEC, Edinburgh, Scotland and am having the time of my life.
  
  Already a graduate with a degree in textiles and theater costume I recently returned to academia to further my understanding of the technicalities of film/video-making as I am a frustrated writer.
  
  I have so many stories to tell (I grew up in rural Southern India, near a village of untouchables, met incredible people, did amazing things and have more recently had an insight into the music industry through two talented musicians I try to help on their way) and film-making seems to fit my style- I am very technical, very visual and writing was not enough.
  
  In trying to work out where my main interest lies I have discovered that the hair stands up on the back of my neck with happiness when I am filming a live music gig (I have been very privileged) and I cannot get enough of editing the stunningly beautiful images which I have had the honour of putting together. Conclusion? I love camera, sound and editing in equal measure. I enjoy running and I am a keen producer (having been mum/manager to two teens- it helps!).
  
  I am looking to work in and around the Edinburgh area, doing whatever is available. Hard-working and reliable as well as technically keen I have experience with Avid and Final Cut Pro as well as some with Pyramix, and am working on my post-production skills in order to enable me to find work from June 2011 onward.
  
  Of course- part of getting to that place is networking. And I am happy to have found this platform.
