  makes me wish I was in LA. The local places gave me a quote of $3000 for 3 days of rental for 2 cameras and sound equipment. I bet living out where there are many rental companies would be cheaper.

  I don't remember. But that's probobly good. Because I think something really common in first screenplays (definetely my own first) is writing a movie based on other movies as opposed to writing a movie based on how you see the world (although one could argue all movies are based on each other...). I think screenwriting is a process that evolves (like anything) with time and practice.
