Flowers

Quotes as Script: "If death meant just leaving the stage long enough to change costume and come back as a new character, would you slow down? Or speed up?” -Chuck Palahniuk “You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep spring from coming.” -Pablo Neruda Read by Elijah T. Justice Music by Michelle Qureshi “What we Heard” Produced and directed by Tobias H. Reese Additional footage by Tony Schilling and Oskar Schlemmer’s 1921 “Triadic Ballet” “MQ - Music as Metaphor series" Produced and directed by Tobias H. Reese, each piece of this new series, be it video-as-art or “flash Film” style, will feature a rotating group of professional voice artists reading evocative quotes set to the music of Michelle Qureshi. Some of the works shall have the emphasis on the visual; some the vocal performance, some the quotes themselves– which serve as the scripts for these works- but all of them will be grounded and guided by the remarkable compositions of Michelle Qureshi. I invite you to comment and contact me if you’d like to be a part of future productions. I urge you to learn more about each of the individuals involved in this series.. they are each unique and talented artists and I could not have created these pieces without them. If you are interested in collaborating with or hiring any of these artists, tell them “Tobias sent you”  As heard on the "MAM Promo#1" Voice#1 Eddie Leonard Jr. . website "www.eleonardvo.com" [email protected] “1st line read V#2 Daryn Johnson – [email protected] primary voice) 2nd, 4,5 line read V#3 A.
