Salon des Refusés is a subversive experiment in short film curation with a simple philosophy: we only screen films that have been rejected by other festivals. Our aim is to highlight the subjectivity of the programming process by drawing attention to the many superb shorts we feel deserve to be showcased, but have been denied the opportunity to screen elsewhere.
We have previously guest-curated strands at the London Short Film Festival, Bestival and the Clerkenwell Cineroleum, with Little White Lies describing us as "ballsy" in our radical approach to programming. We are currently seeking submissions for our February Salon and would like to hear from you if your short has been rejected from at least one festival. We accept documentaries, animations, experimental films, music videos and fiction shorts from anywhere in the world - as long as they’re less than an hour long.
