I'm new here, my name is Appleblack, i'm a french yourng debutant videast and student. I looking for your professinnal assistance.
I shoot with a AG-DVX 100a of Panasonic, and i'm really enjoying. I also own a FS-4 HD recorder. My problem : when I connect the MiniDV / FireWire400 of my Recoder to the camera, its crash : its shut down, stop hard the disk and restart infinitily and repeat the problem if I can't disconnect the cable of camera or recorder. And result : I can't record. I've do different test, power the camera first, set the different option ( Both and Ext but not Chain, I don't want record like this ) and set a cassette. It looks futile. On the recorder :
HDD mode : DV recorder ( of course )
Record : Normal
DV format : AVI Type 2 ( I tested different format, same )
Control : tested in Local and Synchro Slave
I've read on the web there's a firmware update for the recorder, but the Focus enterprise who product this type of disk doesn't exist any more !
What can I do ?
