in the topic Theme for Cooking Show in the forum Composers

    Hello,

I'm working on a small low-budget cooking show for a local tv station.  I am looking for any composers who have a song they wouldn't mind our using as the theme/credit song, as well as musical cues to be used throughout the show.  This is a collaboration for the first 6 episodes.  I'm definitely not asking anybody to create something for free.  I'm also not giving the illusion of "if this makes money you will be paid" as in all likelihood we will barely be able to cover hard expenses with our sponsors.

If you happen to have some cues already made that you think would be a good fit for our program, and if you wouldn't mind if we licensed them for very very little money (or free), then please give me a shout.

We are not looking for electronica, synthesizer, hip-hop, etc. music.  This show is for Maine, and the demo is about 90% Caucasian over the age of 60.

    Thanks

    Greg

Couldn't get any of the audio to play.  Missing audio files?  Also, the site is in German and couldn't navigate it well.

When you get into more advanced AE techniques, beyond just dropping in a plugin, you can make custom algorithms to manipulate the pixels or to move layers around.  There are thousands of websites out there that have good tutorials for this.  http://creativecow.com is a good one.

in the topic I want to buy a camcorder! in the forum General Forum

If you are anywhere near NYC, I can give you a great deal on a used DVX-100A!  I am selling mine.  Email me.

I also have a miniDVD hand camcorder I can sell for cheap!

While those have good prices, remember there is a reason they are so cheap.  Part of it is useability (controls) and part of it is image quality.  For something to just "play around with" you could even use the camera on your iPhone.  If you want to seriously practice filmmaking techniques, you should get a more serious camera.

I think it was a custom equation in After Effects.  Wave Warp isn't that precise, nor that smooth in the quick transition.
